Having lived in Upper Gornal for much of my life I am proud to serve as one of three councillors who represent the Upper Gornal & Woodsetton ward. I was first elected in 2003 and work hard to help local residents with their problems and concerns irrespective of any political allegiances. I work hard for all my residents, as I want to see our community be the best it can be.

 

I am a Member of the North Dudley Area Committee.  I am a Member of the Cabinet and I have also served as the Children’s Champion, meaning I ensure that the Council does all it can for our looked after children.

 

Neither my colleagues nor I hold surgeries, as we feel it is better to meet people in the comfort and privacy of their own homes. This gives us the added benefit of being able to see the problem first hand and not have a resident make a journey to meet us only to have us arrange a time when we could come and see the problem.

 

Outside of the council I run a youth football club, which currently has three teams, and I also attend Wolverhampton University as a Law student.
