I am one of the three ward Councillors elected to serve the Halesowen South ward on Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council. I served on the Council from 2004-2006 and was re-elected in May, 2008 and 2012.
At present I am the Deputy Group Leader and the Conservative Group Spokesperson for Children’s Services. I am also a member of the Children’s Services Scrutiny Committee, the Appointments Committee, the Development Control Committee and the Halesowen North and Halesowen South Community Forum.
I am a member of the Lye and Wollescote Partnership, the Chairman of the Lye Area Regeneration Alliance (Lara), the Chairman of the Ring and Ride User Forum Group and a member of the Dudley Deaf Children's Society. I am also a governor of two Primary Schools, Rufford and Tenterfields, one of which (Tenterfields) has a newly established children's centre of which I am on the management committee. Children and other members of the community who are at risk are amongst my main interest in my work on the Council.
